We call her the Log Lady, but do you know the true story behind the beloved woman who portrayed an international cult TV icon up until the last week of her life? Catherine was a legend in every sense of the word. For those of you familiar with her role on Twin Peaks or who saw her perform at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, you understand the magic she employed when she took the stage. Catherine completed an unprecedented 22 seasons at the prestigious Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF).

“She was an integral part of this company, not only as an actor, but as a passionate advocate for the arts, for theater, for OSF and for the community of Ashland.” – Bill Rausch, OSF Artistic Director

Catherine performed in renowned plays such as Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, August Osage County, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Catherine performed more than 50 productions with the company over the course of 20 + years.

What you might not know about her is that she was a spokeswoman for the environment, the devoted wife of a rabbi, an important spiritual advisor in her Jewish community, and one of the first females ever to join Hollywood’s prestigious camera union.

Four days before her she passed away, Catherine lay in bed surrounded by those most dear to her. Listening to the words of her lifelong friend, David Lynch, she was about to perform her final act and say goodbye to an extraordinary character she loved deeply. With the help of Catherine’s closest friends and David Lynch’s blessing, we, fans and professionals together, are now being given a unique opportunity to tell an inspiring story that will resonate with film, TV and theatre enthusiasts around the world.
