Meet Solo V2, from the team that brought you the first open source FIDO2 security key. Solo V2 takes what made the original SoloKeys great, and steps it up a notch. A complete redesign of the SoloKeys FIDO2 security key, Solo V2 features more physically robust hardware. Using a FIDO2 hardware key is much more resistant to phishing than other 2FA methods like OTP codes or SMS messages (codes can be phished, FIDO2 key cannot).
With Solo v2, NFC performance is increased and uses a brand new microcontroller by NXP with enhanced security features, and the firmware has been rewritten in Rust to be more modular/reusable by the community and to reduce the attack surface.
