Human Diaries was pleased to interview Dr. Gina R. Prince, author, speaker, counselor, mom, athlete, Realtor, and Human Diaries fan. She works constantly on all aspects of life – spiritual, physical, and others. With the help of God, she balances her many facets of life, and looks forward to more in the future.
Q: You recently published a book “Born into sin, transformed into destiny” Could you please tell us a bit about the book?
A: “Born Into Sin, Transformed Into Destiny” is a book about my life’s traumatic situations and struggles from childhood until the day I totally surrendered my life to the Lord. It gives revelation on how the reader as well as myself can take ownership of our choices in life and not play the blame game. God revealed when we do this we begin to heal and forgive those who have afflicted hurt and pain upon us through the dramatic situations. God is free to heal us completely. Even though we may have been through traumatic hurtful situations, we develop habits and tendencies from a defensive standpoint and this is where our ownership begins.
Q: Can you tell us a little about your theology studies?
A: I have studied biblical theology which is biblically based on revelations about the word of God.
Q: How long have you been counseling people, and what inspired you to do it? Do you enjoy it?
A: I have been counseling people for over 12 years now. I love it! Everything I can give back for all God has done for me I am more than willing. I love seeing people free from all types of bondage and to be a vessel used for that is an honor.
Q: What made you interested in physical workout?
A: I have always loved sports challenges as a child and young adult. I was very athletic growing up. I played sports like basketball, cheerleading, track, swimming and tennis. I enjoyed it all so as an adult I find that challenging myself keeps me grounded in a more positive state of mind. It helps me feel accomplished daily even when things seem out of control. With my faith in God and working out everything seems to fall into place every day.
Q: Could you please describe a typical work-week for you?
A: My work week consists of spiritual and physical maintenance because I believe in wholeness. So my daily activities are fellowshipping with God, taking care of my 10 year old son’s needs and schedule, working out, writing (book/blogs), spiritually counseling individuals, Real Estate, and ministry. This is every day of the week. This is why God being my center is so important. I can’t do any of it without Him.
Q: Are you satisfied with what you have accomplished thus far?
A: I am happy and overjoyed for all I have been allowed to do thus far, but I am believing for much more to come. I am excited to see more of God’s glory on this earth. So for me, I’m excited about a very full and prosperous future mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially for us all.
Q: Do you find it challenging to balance all of your activities?
A: I don’t find it challenging, as long as I know that my help comes from God. I cannot take ownership of where I am because of where I have come from. Read “Born Into Sin, Transformed Into Destiny” and you will understand why. It’s all about Him and He keeps it all together for me; I just surrender all and walk my steps daily.
Q: What plans do you have for the future?
A: My future plans are writing more books and enjoying more challenges that will convert into even more opportunities.
Q: Where else have you been featured?
A: I have been featured on StreamingFaith.com, DC public library, and Celebrate with Bishop Greg Davis, which is a cable show on Total Christian Television. I have been on radio 96.1 FM, a show called The Beat with Esua Davis, in Charlotte, NC, also Radio in Detroit, The Mason in the Morning Show, Radio One 105.9 Kiss FM, blogtalkradio.com, Couch Conversations with Rev. J, and so much more. I have truly been blessed.
Q: Any humorous stories you want to share with our readers?
A: Okay. I have one funny story from just this past Saturday. Okay, you know how I said I love challenges? I really thought I could hang cliff this wall in front of my house. I really thought I could do it! In my head I saw me doing it and it looked so easy, it was so easy, in my head. Then the moment of truth comes. I get to that wall and nothing. I couldn’t even lift myself to get started. I was defeated by that wall. I went to my car and thought…. if I can see it, I can do it! May not have been the day today to do it but I will do it someday. I laughed so hard. Challenges! Make it fun.
