Beef with Olives and Preserved Lemon


1 lb shoulder steak or similar cut
1 Medium chopped onion
1/2 cup olive oil
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp of butter
Pinch of salt
2 Potatoes cut into quarters
1/4 cup Olives of your choice
1/4 cup of water
1/2 Preserved Lemon
2 garlic cloves
Pinch of Italian seasoning
Pinch of dry parsley


Start to heat oil on medium in a frying pan.
Cut the meat into small pieces and put in the heated oil. Add the butter, chopped onion, garlic cloves, black pepper, and cook until meat is brown and onions are slightly cooked. Add salt, potatoes, Italian seasoning, parsley and water. Cook until almost ready then add the preserved lemon and olives and cover. Cook on medium heat for another 10 minutes. Serve with warm French bread.
