My wonderful son thinks the world of me, and he wrote me a magnificent poem when he was very young. I found it very touching. I’ve had it on the wall next to my bed for several months, but just re-read it again recently. It’s nice to have a reminder of my child’s love so close by. A bond between a mother and child is a beautiful thing, and should never be broken.
It says:
The great white eagle in the sky was once a tiny bird
It’s not so strong because of practice or its weightless wings
It doesn’t fly from feathers or because it never clings
No –
The great white eagle in the sky was once a tiny bird
The reason it’s so big and strong
is because it has a wonderful mom

that is a beautiful poem. Your little girl has talent!
Thank you. I wrote it and I love that you like it.
